Dr Joely Taylor started Well Writ in 2010 to provide technical writing and editing services to select clients in research, government and private industry. Since that time, Dr Taylor has responded to her clients’ needs by providing a full service publishing business, taking the text all the way through to a published book or report.
Dr Taylor is an Accredited Editor (AE) with the Institute of Professional Editors Limited (Australia) and an Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS) with the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (United States). She is also an Advanced Professional Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) in the UK.
She has completed RMIT’s (the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) Graduate Diploma in Editing and Publishing and also holds undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, including a PhD.
Dr Taylor worked for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation for ten years before leaving to concentrate on her business, Well Writ.
Dr Taylor has supported early and mid-career editors by assisting with the accreditation scheme run by the Institute of Professional Editors Limited.
