Wide Sails and Wheat Stacks

Having searched through all the local libraries, I gave up and finally found a copy of Wide sails and wheat stacks: a history of Port Victoria and the Hundred of Wauraltee by R. Heinrich today at Bradstreet’s Books. It is a really interesting account of the huge wheat trade out of South Australia in the 1930s with incredible photographs of wheat stacks waiting to be loaded aboard wooden sailing ships.

I don’t think Bradstreet’s Books has a website but it is featured here in the Weekend Notes website (www.weekendnotes.com/bradstreets-books-hawthorn/)
